আশ্রয় নেওয়ার জায়গা থেকে অন্য কোথাও যেতে হলে, বিশেষ করে রাতে কোথাও গেলে কোথায় যাচ্ছেন এবং কখন ফিরবেন তা অবশ্যই কাউকে জানিয়ে যান। এমনকি আশপাশের জায়গা যদি আপনার পরিচিতও হয় তবু সতর্ক থাকুন। এছাড়া পরিবারের শিশু সদস্যরা কে কোথায় আছে সে বিষয়ে সচেতন থাকুন।

Always tell someone where you are going and when you will be back, especially at night, even if you are familiar with the environment. Know where your children are.

শিশুদের সাথে কথা বলুন, তাদের প্রতি মনোযোগী হোন এবং তারা যেন তাদের ভয় ও চিন্তার কথা আপনাকে বলতে পারে সেটি নিশ্চিত করুন। শিশুরা কিছু বললে তা মন দিয়ে শুনুন।

ভিড় বেশি এমন কোনো জায়গা থেকে ত্রাণ বা রেশন আনার জন্য আপনার শিশুকে পাঠাবেন না। এসব জায়গায় হুড়োহুড়ির কারণে শিশুরা মারাত্মকভাবে আহত হতে পারে। এছাড়া ত্রাণসামগ্রী যদি ভারী হয় তাহলে তা বয়ে আনার কারণে তাদের দীর্ঘমেয়াদী শারীরিক ক্ষতিও হতে পারে।

Do not ask your child to collect rations and supplies at crowded distribution sites. Their small bodies are at risk of being crushed in the melee, and the heavy loads they are expected to carry can cause long-term physical harm.

এ সময় আপনি বা আপনার সন্তান আহত হতে পারেন কিংবা প্রতারণা ও মানবপাচারের মতো ঘটনারও শিকার হতে পারেন। এজন্য পরিবারের সবাই মিলে একসাথে ও নিরাপদে থাকার চেষ্টা করুন। বিশেষ করে নারী, কিশোরী মেয়ে বা শিশুরা যদি পরিবারের অন্যদের সাথে থাকে তাহলে তারা অনেক বেশি নিরাপদ থাকতে পারে। এছাড়া আপনাকে যদি কোনো কারণে আশ্রয় নেবার জায়গাটি থেকে অন্য কোথাও যেতে হয়, যেমন ত্রাণ আনার জন্য যদি কোথাও যেতে হয় তাহলে শিশুদেরকে বিশ্বস্ত কারও কাছে রেখে যান।

You or your children may be at risk of being hurt, exploited, or trafficked. Stay safe by staying with your family. Women, girls and children can stay safe by staying with their family. If you have to leave for somewhere in the site, such as a distribution site, please leave children with a trusted person.

পরিবারের সবাই যখন একসাথে থাকে তখনই তারা সবচেয়ে বেশি নিরাপদে থাকে। আশ্রয় নেবার জায়গা থেকে অন্য কোথাও যেতে হলে আপনি কোথায় যাচ্ছেন বা কখন ফিরবেন সেটি অবশ্যই পরিবারের কাউকে বলে যান। পরিবারের বয়স্ক, প্রতিবন্ধী বা শিশু সদস্যদেরকে কখনোই একা রেখে যাবেন না। এছাড়া বড় ক্যাম্পে শিশুরা হারিয়ে যেতে পারে বলে তারা যেন কখনোই পরিবারের অন্যদের থেকে দূরে দূরে কোথাও ঘুরে না বেড়ায় সেটি নিশ্চিত করুন। এ বিষয়গুলো সবাইকে নানা ধরনের ক্ষতির হাত থেকে বাঁচতে সাহায্য করবে।

Families are safest when staying together. Always tell someone where you are going and when you will be back. Don’t leave the elderly, people with disabilities or young children at home alone, do not allow your younger children to wander far from an adult. Children may become lost in the large camp. This will help keeping everyone safe from harm.

আপনি চেনেন না এমন কেউ যদি আপনার সন্তানের দেখাশোনার দায়িত্ব নিতে চায় অথবা চাকরি দেওয়া বা পড়ানোর কথা বলে তাকে শহরে নিয়ে যেতে চায় তাহলে সতর্ক থাকুন। কারণ এসব ক্ষেত্রে আপনার সন্তান পাচার হবার ঝুঁকিতে থাকে
